Takashi Sato has a last minute fight booked. The Japanese welterweight will face Ramiz Brahimaj at UFC Fight Night: ‘Poirier vs. Hooker’ in Las Vegas next Saturday (local time).
His management took to Facebook to confirm the matchup earlier:
Sato (15-3) saw a matchup with Maki Pitolo at UFC Auckland fall through at the last minute. The former welterweight King of Pancrase is coming off a submission loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 242.
Brahimaj (8-2) is a Legacy veteran who will be making his UFC debut. He has been expected to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series last year but pulled out due to injury.
The event is headlined by a lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker. It will be held behind closed doors at the UFC’s own venue in Las Vegas.
