Deep 98 is set for Tokyo on November 1st. In total there will be nine bouts on the card with Tatsuya Mizuno set to face João Batista Yoshimura in a middleweight match.
Mizuno (22-12-1) is riding an eight fight winning streak. The 39 year old is coming off a second round stoppage win over Joshua Robison at Deep 93 last December.
Batista Yoshimura (5-4) is a BJJ black belt. He is coming off a first round stoppage win over Go Hishinuma at Heat 47 earlier this month.
Also added to the card this week was a featherweight fight pitting Kouya Kanda (5-3) against Michio Ito (8-3). The former was stopped in the second round by Tetsuya Seki at Rizin 22 last month while the latter also saw action in August, scoring a submission win over Ryuji Takashio at Deep 95.
As previously announced the event will be headlined by a welterweight fight. It pits UFC and ONE Championship alumni Daichi Abe against seasoned veteran Yuta Watanabe.
Deep 99 is set for New Pier Hall on the same day. Tickets are available and there will be a live audience in the venue.
