Two of the best Brazilian bantamweights in the planet will finally face off on December 3rd. Bibiano Fernandes defends his title against UFC veteran John Lineker.

Fernandes (24-4) has been out of action for two years. That’s a long break for the champion who has won 12 out of his 13 ONE Championship fights.

Lineker (34-9) is unbeaten since leaving the UFC. He has won three out of three for ONE Championship to earn his title shot.

It will be a clash of styles with Fernandes a BJJ black belt and submission specialist. Lineker is known as ‘Hands of Stone’ for obvious reasons and has some of the best striking skills in the division.

The UFC veteran is ten years younger than the champion. Will this be the moment that Fernandes finally passes on the crown he has worn since 2013, albeit briefly borrowed by Kevin Belingon?

Or will Lineker success where the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Demetrious Johnson and Sage Northcutt have failed by making an unbeaten start to his ONE Championship career and winning the title at the first attempt?

Johnson won his first three ONE Championship fights but came up short in a title fight. Northcutt and Alvarez were brutally knocked out on their promotional debuts and the former hasn’t fought since while the latter has only won one out of four since signing.
