All ONE Championship shows will be behind closed doors until May 29th. The next four fight cards have all been moved to Singapore with Chatri Sityodyong breaking the news on Facebook just now:
It means the ONE: ‘Infinity’ 1 event set for Jakarta on April 10th will no longer be happening. Cards in Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur have also fallen by the wayside.
However there will be televised events held in Singapore on April 17th, April 24th, May 1st and May 8th. This means that the amount of fights being promoted by ONE Championship will not necessarily be reduced.
ONE: ‘Infinity’ 1 is now provisionally scheduled for the MOA Arena on May 29th. It remains to be seen which fight cards the rescheduled bouts will be allocated to.
ONE: ‘Infinity’ 1 in Jakarta had been set to feature a flyweight title fight between champion Adriano Moraes and challenger Demetrious Johnson and a middleweight title fight between champion Aung La Nsang and challenger Vitaly Bigdash.
Already booked for ONE: ‘Infinity’ 2 are a heavyweight title fight between champion Brandon Vera and challenger Arjan Bhullar and a lightweight title fight between champion Christian Lee and challenger Iuri Lapicus.
That card was also set to feature a lightweight fight between Eddie Alvarez and Saygid Arslanaliev. Meanwhile the postponed ONE: ‘Heart of Heroes’ card was set to feature two title fights in the ONE Super Series.
With multiple shows cancelled or postponed, and four new events scheduled to replace them it looks set to be a very busy few days for ONE Championship.
