Aung La Nsang will be back in action at ONE on Prime Video 6. The Burmese middleweight takes on Fan Rong in Bangkok on January 13th.

La Nsang (28-13-0-1) was last seen in action at ONE 163 last month. He finished fellow veteran Yushin Okami in the first round and has been rewarded with a fast turnaround here.

La Nsang held the middleweight and light heavyweight titles and at one stage was the most dominant fighter on the entire roster. But his stock has fallen after a run of three losses in four fights that saw him lose both belts to Reinier de Ridder.

While La Nsang will be fighting twice in the space of three months Rong (19-3) has not competed at al in 2022. He was last seen at ONE: ‘Winter Warriors’ getting submitted by Vitaly Bigdash, who also holds two wins over La Nsang, in the third round.

Back in the game

Lito Adiwang  (13-5) will make his long awaited comeback after suffering a serious knee injury at ONE: ‘X’ in March. He tore his ACL and was expected to spend a year on the sidelines but has recovered quicker than expected.

The Filipino has been matched with Mansur Malachiev (10-0). The undefeated Russian has choked out his last three opponents and will be making his ONE Championship debut.

Main event

The event looks set to be headlined by a flyweight kickboxing title fight. Ilias Ennahachi will be defending his title against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a rematch.

The two first fought last year with Ennahachi’s decision win causing a lot of controversy. Many fans felt Superlek should have won and he will have the opportunity to challenge for the title again in front of the Thai fans.

Non title

Rodtang Jitmuangnon will be back in action at ONE on Prime Video 6. The Thai star will return to kickboxing to take on Daniel Puertas in a non title flyweight fight.

At ONE on Prime Video 4 last weekend he successfully defended his flyweight Muay Thai title with a lopsided decision win over Joseph Lasiri. This will be the second time he has competed under kickboxing rule since signing for the promotion.

Opponent Puertas is coming off a split decision win over Jiduo Yibu at ONE: ‘Full Circle’. Rodtang is not the only big Thai name to be added to the card which is set for Impact Arena on January 14th.

Rearranged again

Superbon Banchamek has established himself as the best pound for pound kickboxer on the planet after beating Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Giorgio Petrosyan and Marat Grigorian. He will have another opportunity to establish his credentials as one of the best in the history of the sport when he faces Chingiz Allazov at ONE on Prime Video 6.

The fight was originally scheduled for ONE on Prime Video 2 but was scrapped after both men ended up getting injured. It will have Superbon’s featherweight title on the line and pit the reigning champion against the newly crowned featherweight Grand Prix winner.

Allazov beat Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong by decision in the Grand Prix final at ONE: ‘X’. He stopped both his previous opponents in the opening round during the tournament.

Superbon will go down in history as the man who shocked the world by knocking out Giorgio Petrosyan. He finished the two time K-1 Max champion with a head kick at ONE: First Strike’:

Local favourites

The card looks set to be stacked with Thai fighters and Pongsiri PKSaenchaigym will be returning to the ONE Championship cage after a year long absence. The former Lumpinee and Channel 7 welterweight champion has been matched with Liam Harrison who was stopped by Nong-O Gaiyanghadao last time out.

Also added to the card last week was a kickboxing title fight. Flyweight champion Ilias Ennahachi will be defending his title against Superlek Kiatmoo9 in another rematch.

The two first fought last year with Ennahachi’s decision win causing a lot of controversy. Many fans felt Superlek should have won and he will have the opportunity to challenge for the title again in front of the Thai fans.

Mixed rules

As previously announced the card will feature a mixed rules fight pitting Stamp Fairtex against Anissa Meksen. Both women are highly experienced in Muay Thai and kickboxing.

But the fight will feature different rules in different rounds. The first three minutes will be Muay Thai but the second stanza will be MMA and the rounds will alternate between the two sports.

Stamp has plenty of MMA experience and holds a 8-2 record in addition to being the former ONE Championship atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing champion. Meksen has enjoyed plenty of successive in the latter two sports but has never competed in the former.

Weekly events

It was recently announced that ONE Championship would be putting on weekly events at Lumpinee Stadium. These shows will get underway in January and will be broadcast internationally according to Chatri Sityodtong.

The first event has been confirmed for January 20th. Nong-O Gaiyanghadao will be defending his flyweight Muay Thai title against Alaverdi Ramazanov in the main event in a bout that had originally been scheduled for ONE on Prime Video 6.

This will be ONE Championship’s first event in Bangkok since 2020. But there has since been a series of Road to ONE events promoted by Fairtex with three tournament winners earning contracts with the promotion.
