Aung La Nsang has a new opponent at ONE on Prime Video 6. The Burmese middleweight will now be facing Gilberto Galvao at the Impact Arena on January 13th.

He had originally been slated to take on Fan Rong but the Chinese fighter is no longer involved. There have been several changes to the fight card which is set for the Impact Arena and will be the promotion’s first of 2023.

La Nsang (28-13-0-1) was last seen in action at ONE 163 last month. He finished fellow veteran Yushin Okami in the first round and has been rewarded with a fast turnaround here.

La Nsang held the middleweight and light heavyweight titles and at one stage was the most dominant fighter on the entire roster. But his stock has fallen after a run of three losses in four fights that saw him lose both belts to Reinier de Ridder.

Galvao (30-7-1) has not fought since 2019. He was last seen at ONE: ‘Legendary Quest’ getting stopped in the second round by Reinier de Ridder.

Vacant title

Ilias Ennahachi has been removed from the card and has vacated his title. The Dutch fighter was the promotion’s flyweight kickboxing champion but can no longer make the weight.

He had been scheduled to face Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE on Prime Video 6. But while the title will still be on the line Ennahachi won’t be fighting for it.

Instead Superlek has been matched with Daniel Puertas in a flyweight kickboxing title fight. The Spanish fighter had originally been scheduled to take on Rodtang.

But Rodtang hasn’t been removed from the card. He will also be competing in a flyweight kickboxing fight and has been matched with Jiduo Yibu, who lost to Puertas last time out.

Rearranged again

Superbon Banchamek has established himself as the best pound for pound kickboxer on the planet after beating Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Giorgio Petrosyan and Marat Grigorian. He will have another opportunity to establish his credentials as one of the best in the history of the sport when he faces Chingiz Allazov at ONE on Prime Video 6.

The fight was originally scheduled for ONE on Prime Video 2 but was scrapped after both men ended up getting injured. It will have Superbon’s featherweight title on the line and pit the reigning champion against the newly crowned featherweight Grand Prix winner.

Allazov beat Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong by decision in the Grand Prix final at ONE: ‘X’. He stopped both his previous opponents in the opening round during the tournament.

Superbon will go down in history as the man who shocked the world by knocking out Giorgio Petrosyan. He finished the two time K-1 Max champion with a head kick at ONE: First Strike’:

Mixed rules

As previously announced the card will feature a mixed rules fight pitting Stamp Fairtex against Anissa Meksen. Both women are highly experienced in Muay Thai and kickboxing.

But the fight will feature different rules in different rounds. The first three minutes will be Muay Thai but the second stanza will be MMA and the rounds will alternate between the two sports.

Stamp has plenty of MMA experience and holds a 8-2 record in addition to being the former ONE Championship atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing champion. Meksen has enjoyed plenty of successive in the latter two sports but has never competed in the former.

Submission grappling

A submission grappling title bout has been added to the card. Mikey Musumeci will be defending his flyweight title for the first time when he takes on Mongolian mixed martial artist Gantumur Bayanduuren.

Garry Tonon (6-1) will be fighting for the first time since his first round stoppage loss to Thanh Le. He takes on fellow American Johnny Nunez (7-2) in a featherweight fight.

This will be ONE Championship’s first event in Bangkok since 2020. But there has since been a series of Road to ONE events promoted by Fairtex with three tournament winners earning contracts with the promotion.
