ONE: ‘A New Breed’ is set for Impact Arena on Friday. In total there will be seven fights on the card with four Muay Thai bouts and three MMA matches.
Among the new batch of matchups to be released is an atomweight fight pitting top contender Denice Zamboanga (7-0) against Watsyapinya Kaewkhong. The former was in line for a shot at Angela Lee prior to the pandemic while the latter appears to be making her debut.
Her brother Drex Zamboanga (8-5) will be making his ONE Championship debut. The reigning URCC 135lbs champion has been matched with local favourite Detchadin Sornsirisuphathin (8-5) in a battle that pits two bantamweights with identical records together.
The other MMA fight on the card sees the return of Yodkaikaew Fairtex (5-2-1), coming off an impressive win at ONE: ‘No Surrender’ Part II. The Thai flyweight will renew his personal rivalry with Tiger Muay Thai when he takes on Alex Schild (5-3).
As previously announced the event will be headlined by an atomweight title fight between champion Stamp Fairtex and challenger Allycia Rodrigues. The former returns to defend her Muay Thai title after a successful stint in MMA.
The other Muay Thai fight previously announced for the card is the final of the Bantamweight Grand Prix. Kulabdam SorJorPiekUThai will face Rodlek PKSaenchaigym who replaces the injured Saemapetch Fairtex.
