UFC Auckland is set for the Spark Arena on February 22nd and looks set to feature a strong contingent of Asian fighters. Song Kenan, Takashi Sato and Loma Lookboonmee have all been added to the card.
Song (15-5) is coming off a decision win at UFC Shenzhen. The Chinese welterweight will go in search of his fourth win in the octagon when he faces Australia’s Callan Potter (18-8).
Also set for 170lbs is the bout between Sato (15-3) and Maki Pitolo (12-5). The Japanese fighter will be looking to bounce back after suffering the first loss in his promotional career at UFC 242.
Meanwhile Loma (4-1) is coming off a win at UFC Singapore. The Thai fighter faces a step up in opposition when she takes on Hannah Goldy (5-1).
As previously announced Yan Xiaonan will go in search of her fifth straight UFC win on February 23rd. The Chinese fighter has been booked to face Karolina Kowalkiewicz in Auckland.
Xiaonan is coming off a decision win over Angela Hill at UFC 238. All four of her bouts for the promotion have gone the distance and the 30 year old has had her hand raised on every occasion.
The event will be headlined by a lightweight bout pitting local favourite Dan Hooker against Paul Felder.
