The first four fights for Rizin 22 have been released. The event is set for Yokohoma on August 9th and features a bantamweight fight pitting Naoki Inoue against Shooto Watanabe.
Inoue (13-2) is coming off back to back wins after a brief stint with the UFC. He was last seen in action at Rizin 21, claiming a decision win over Trent Girdham.
Watanabe (20-4-6) has fought for numerous Japanese promotions including Pancrase, Zst, VTJ and Fighting Nexus. Last year he registered wins at Deep 90 and Deep 91 and the 31 year old will be making his Rizin debut.
Also on the card is a super atomweight contest pitting Kanna Asakura (16-4) against Mizuki Furuse (7-6). The former is coming off a win at Bellator Japan while the latter secured her fourth successive victory at Deep-Jewels 28 earlier this year.
The final two fights confirmed are a lightweight bout pitting Yusuke Yachi (21-9) against Roberto de Souza (9-1) and a featherweight fight between Tetsuya Seki (12-6-1) and Yojiro Uchimura (17-13-3).
Rizin 23 is set for the same venue on the following day.
