Fresh from his impressive win over Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon at Rajadamnern last week Sangmanee Sathiengym has signed with ONE Championship.

The 22 year old is one of the biggest stars on the Muay Thai scene. In 2012 he was awarded the Sports Writers ‘fighter of the year’ award, the most prestigious prize in the sport, alongside fellow teenager Yodwicha Por Boonsit.

Since then Sangmanee has consistently remained at the top of the game, despite an unsuccessful foray into the world of amateur boxing. He is a three division Rajadamnern champion and has also won a title at Lumpinee.

Sangmanee would undoubtedly have picked up more silverware on the stadium scene had he not spent a lot of time competing internationally with Top King. But he is coming off four straight wins over top ranked opponents in Thailand.

Next up for Sangmanee is a ‘super fight’ against reigning Lumpinee welterweight champion Rafi Bohic. Coincidentally both fighters are signed with ONE Championship, but this is a traditional Muay Thai bout and is set for Buriram on October 5th.

Sangmanee will be competing in the bantamweight division for ONE Championship.
