Two more fights were added to Rizin 26 yesterday. Japanese stars Tenshin Nasukawa and Takanori Gomi will both be in action on December 31st.
Tenshin has been booked to face Kumandoi Phetjaroenvit in a kickboxing bout. Gomi goes up against Kouzi in a fight that will have ‘special standing rules’.
No weight classes have been confirmed for either bout but Kumandoi is a Muay Thai fighter who has been in with some of the best 126lbs fighters Thailand has to offer. He’s challenged unsuccessfully for titles at Rajadamnern on two occasions and is the reigning WBC super bantamweight champion.
As previously announced the event will be headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between current champion Kai Asakura and former champion Kyoji Horiguchi.
Meanwhile Rizin 26 will also feature a super atomweight title fight between Ayaka Hamasaki and Miyuu Yamamoto. In bantamweight action Ulka Sasaki has been matched with Kenta Takizawa while Yuki Motoya takes on Naoki Inoue.
In the featherweight division Mikuru Asakura faces Satoshi Yamasu and Kleber Koike Erst is taking on Kyle Aguon. Meannwhile Kazuma Kuramoto clashes with Taino Nakahara in a 63kgs catchweight bout.
