It has been a big week for Ritu Phogat. On Friday she booked a spot in the semi finals of the atomweight Grand Prix by beating Meng Bo and on Sunday she celebrated her 27th birthday.
‘The Indian Tigress’ got a visit from ONE Championship head honcho Chatri Sityodtong. He brought her a tiger themed birthday cake and some goodies according to Ritu’s Instagram post:

Ritu’s record stands at 6-1 and she will face either Itsuki Hirata, Stamp Fairtex or Seo Hee Ham in the semi finals of the atomweight Grand Prix. The latter’s spot in the last four is subject to a review after she received a very controversial decision win over Denice Zamboanga.
With ONE Championship looking to conclude the Grand Prix by the end of the year it could be a busy few months for Ritu. But at least she got to relax on her birthday, and it was a double celebration.
Ritu got to celebrate her birthday while celebrating the biggest win of her career. Sunday must have been a good day for the Indian Tigress!
