Brian Ortega took to Instagram to accuse The Korean Zombie of ducking him. The American claims that there is a fight contract on the table which currently remains unsigned:

Ortega and Chan Sun Jung were originally scheduled to fight at UFC Busan. But the American pulled out with an injury and was replaced by Frankie Edgar.
The Korean Zombie finished Edgar in the opening round. Ortega is currently #2 in the UFC featherweight rankings while Jung is #4, making this a potential title eliminator.
The Korean Zombie won two fights out of two in 2019, reestablishing himself in the upper echelons of the featherweight division after taking time out from the sport to complete compulsory military service.
By contrast Ortega missed the entire year. He was last seen in action in 2018, getting stopped by Max Holloway in a featherweight title fight that earned both men $50,000 USD performance bonuses.
There is bad blood between the two featherweights. Ortega got into an altercation with The Korean Zombie’s translator at UFC 248 although the American did subsequently issue an apology.
