Loma Lookboonmee has a new opponent at UFC Vegas 60. She will be returning to the octagon after a ten month absence and now finds herself matched with Denise Gomes.
She was originally scheduled to take on Diana Belibita and announced the fight back in June. However the Argentinian has pulled out and been replaced by a promotional newcomer.
Loma (6-3) is a Muay Thai veteran and fought in Thailand and Japan before signing with the UFC. All five of her fights inside the octagon have gone the distance and she has won three of them.
Gomes (6-1) will be making her UFC debut. She earned a contract on the back of a six fight winning streak that culminated in a decision victory over fellow Brazilian Rayanne Amanda on a Dana White’s Contender Series card.

As previously announced the bantamweight bout between Song Yadong and Cory Sandhagen has been confirmed for UFC Vegas 60. The fight has been signed and sealed for September 17th for several weeks but the event finally has an official name and venue.
Yadong has been one of the big success stories among the influx of Chinese fighters to the UFC roster. The 24 year old was signed in 2017 and has been holding his own in the 135lbs division for the past five years.
Yadong is currently riding a three fight winning streak and is coming off a career defining KO of Marlon Moraes at UFC Vegas 50. That win earned the Chinese bantamweight a $50,000 USD bonus

Meanwhile Sandhagen holds wins over Frankie Edgar, Marlon Moraes and John Lineker. But the 30 year old is coming off back to back losses and will be looking to get back to winning ways here.
Those defeats did come at the hands of two of the best bantamweights on the planet. He dropped a decision to Petr Yan at UFC 267 in a bout which had the interim bantamweight title on the line.

Meanwhile Javid Basharat will be back in action at UFC Vegas 61. The undefeated Afghan has been matched with Tony Gravely at the Apex Centre on September 16th.
Basharat came to prominence on Dana White’s Contender Series. He submitted Oron Kahlon with a guillotine choke in the third round, getting revenge on the Israeli who had accused him of being a terrorist at the weigh ins.
He faced Trevin Jones on his UFC debut earlier this year and won that fight by unanimous decision. Basharat is based in London but was born in Afghanistan and proudly represents the country when he competes.
Gravely is vastly experienced. The American was also spotted by the UFC after winning on Dana White’s Contender Series but has not exactly been an overnight success, he made his debut in 2014 and has four wins from his six UFC fights.
