There have been more changes to the ONE: ‘Only the Brave’ card with some fights scrapped and others added. Among the new additions is a bantamweight battle between Purev Otgonjargal and Micael de Jesus.
Otgonjargal (7-1) hails from Mongolia and is riding a seven fight winning streak with all of those victories coming inside the distance. De Jesus (9-5) is making his ONE Championship debut after losing to Chang Ho Lee at ONE Warrior Series 9 in 2019.
Zebaztian Kadestam is no longer on the card. Replacing him is Edson Marquez (9-1) who will be facing Hiroyuki Tetsuka (10-4) in a welterweight bout.
As previously announced original headliner Marat Grigorian has tested positive for Covid-19. He is out of the featherweight Grand Prix and his semi final bout with Chingiz Allazov is off.
Taking Grigorian’s place will be Jo Nattawut who now faces Allazov in the semi final. Grigorian is the second fighter from Tiger Muay Thai on this card to test positive for Covid-19, teammate Anatoly Malykhin also seeing his heavyweight title fight scrapped.
The event is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on January 28th. Sittichai Sitsongpeenong takes on Davit Kiria in the other Grand Prix semi final which will now serve as the main event.
Elsewhere on the card Jarred Brooks is set to face Hiroba Minowa at in a strawweight fight. Meanwhile Kim Jae Woong is set to take on Tang Kai in a match that also has the makings of a title eliminator. The former is ranked #1 while the latter is #4 at featherweight.
In the lightweight division Lipeng Zhang takes on Ruslan Emilbek. At flyweight Tatsumitsu Wada faces Shuo Wang.
